This webinar explores how psychotherapy can be adapted to better meet the cultural and linguistic needs of diverse patient populations. Participants will examine culturally sensitive therapeutic practices to improve assessment, engagement, and treatment outcomes while reducing stigma and barriers to care. The session highlights the role of therapist self-awareness, cultural humility, and reflective practice as foundational elements of culturally responsive care, and reviews established models of culturally adapted interventions, such as Culturally Adapted Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition, participants will examine how lessons from culturally responsive psychotherapy and digital mental health interventions can inform the future development of AI-enabled tools, with attention to the importance of diverse datasets and ethical considerations to minimize bias as these technologies evolve.
